Dear Jerry
I didn't watch the Cowboys game this weekend. In fact, I wasn't positive that they were playing, except I remember that I acquired Rico Dowdle as some lesser piece in a trade package in my fantasy league; and Rico is finished with byes. Not that that's a huge win. Every team needs a RB, and the Cowboys have him. For now. He's fine. He could have been as good as Demarco Murray, possibly. I know that's a stretch, but...football is still won in the trenches (unless you have a generational talent you can tailor a unique offense to).
Like I said, I didn't watch the game this week. I just checked the score just now, as I started writing this. I'm so glad I didn't watch. I would have gone into it knowing that it was a division rival, so we will come into it mentally under-prepared compared to our opponent. Yes, Dak is injured, but Cooper Rush has shown that he's capable of leading an offense WHEN that offense is one that is actually capable of moving the ball down the field. And that begins and ends in the trenches. A place where Jerry gets so much glory for drafting, but the anguish of the product on the field is reaching Jerry's ears.
I'm afraid those ears are deaf to common sense and only longer keen to Jerry sense. It seems old men have been getting more brazen with their senile antics given so much representation in the media, but I digress: He needs to step aside, and separate the Joneses from the Cowboys football program. Until the Jerry org isn't at the helm of this cash cow, not a thing will change. In fact, they will get worse. Because as with everything, our opponents are evolving and improving; not just on the field or X's and O's, but the investment in our players' mental health, physical and mental well being, satisfaction playing for the team, and most importantly - a purpose driving the team. We all know what drives Jerry. And we all know he's got his fingers on every aspect of dem boys. We can see it in them in the press. They're content because it's a business. Jerry made it clear that they've been paid and the transaction is complete. And that's fair for Dak and Micah and Ceedee and all of them. Go get your bag.
But looking at the score, 34 to 6. Jerry got the bag. Believe me, ALL the Boys got the bag. But to all you former fans like me, just imagine the dynasty we could have been a part of had Jerry not had an ego that pushed Jimmy out the room. He built greatness. And Jerry sensed money to be made. And he was right. His toy and our team have been a great financial success. Eclipsing 10 billion dollars! Amazing! Congratulations Jerry!
